Welcome 2021

Start 2021 by joining me and the CYC community in our next 6-week Yoga Series beginning the week of January 3 through February 12. Choose one or more of the series below. With each series, you will receive live instruction, a video class recording for your future viewing and weekly bonus live meditation classes plus the recordings. All classes are suitable for beginners. View the class details and schedule below.

 

TUESDAY

Hatha Yoga: Essential Yoga Poses

6-week Series Includes:
Live class instruction as well as the class recordings + weekly bonus meditation.

Description: 
We will focus on essential yoga poses, seated, standing, and lying on the mat, for stability, balance, focus, strength, flexibility and joint mobility.  We will work on strengthening and lengthening the muscles we need to come into these poses with stability and ease.

What you need: 
A yoga/sticky mat to prevent you from slipping in standing poses.  Blankets or firm cushions to sit on to lift the hips up off the ground.  Blanket to provide padding for the knees is helpful.  Nearby wall clear of furniture and wall hangings, if possible.

Drop-in Rate: $20

WEDNESDAY

Chair Yoga: Essential Yoga Poses

6-week Series Includes:
Live class instruction as well as the class recordings + weekly bonus meditation.

Description:
We will focus on essential yoga poses, seated on the chair and standing, for stability, balance, focus, strength, flexibility and joint mobility.  We will work on strengthening and lengthening the muscles you need to come into these poses with stability and ease. 

What you need:
A chair with a back, and preferably no arms.  A nearby wall clear of furniture or wall hangings, if possible.  A yoga/sticky mat is helpful to prevent you from slipping in standing poses.


Series: $108 (Includes all classes + bonus meditations)

FRIDAY

Hatha Yoga: Beyond Basics

6-week Series Includes:
Live class instruction as well as the class recordings + weekly bonus meditation.

Description: 
This class will move beyond the foundational level of yoga asana by inviting you to move into a more challenging aspect of the pose.  Working from the basic level is always available to you.  Beyond Basics will include shoulder stand and other preparatory poses for inversions.  Modifications will be suggested. There will be a steady emphasis on pranayama during the practice, particularly towards cultivating the ujjayi breathing pattern to aid you in moving deeper into the pose. We will move through flowing sequences, as well as hold poses to build strength, stability, flexibility and balance.

Meditation

6-week Series Includes:
Your 6-week series includes 30-minute meditation classes in your package. If you cannot attend the meditation live on Thursday mornings at 9:15 am, a recording will be provided to you.
